The Comedy of Errors
By William Shakespeare
Directed by George Roesler

Shakespeare’s mad-capped, farcical romp tells the tale of two sets of identical twins accidentally separated at birth. A series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities leads to wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, arrests, accusations of infidelity, theft, madness and demonic possession. Famous quote from the play: “Every why hath a wherefore.” Performances are June 25, June 26, July 2, July 15, July 23, July 31.

King Lear
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Jeffrey Altier

One of Shakespeare’s most brutal and most lyrical tragedies, Ling Lear is a shattering study of family dynamics and the portrait of a king and country plunging into madness and chaos. The characters confront fundamental questions of justice, familial duty, sacrifice and possible redemption while the world collapses around them. Famous quote from the play: “How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child.” Performances are July 1, July 3, July 9, July 17, July 22, July 30.

The Two Noble Kinsmen
By William Shakespeare and John Fletcher
Directed by Stu Naber

While imprisoned in Athens, cousins Palamon and Aricte discover the beautiful Princess Emilia and immediately fall in love. Once best friends, the cousins become bitter rivals and agree to meet in personal combat to decide their fates. Famous quote from the play: “Men are mad things.” Performances are July 8, July 10, July 16, July 24, July 29
